Christopher Zahn

Christopher Zahn is the Community Liaison for Wisconsin Voices for Recovery. He has over 30 years of experience with the criminal justice system and extensive knowledge advocating for substance use and mental health disorders, criminal justice reform, and reentry needs.

Christopher is a Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist, CCAR (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery) – Certified Recovery Coach/Trainer, Wisconsin D.H.S. Certified Naloxone Administration Trainer, SMART Recovery Program Facilitator, Brown County Health & Human Services – Youth Support Specialist, Nurturing Parenting Program Facilitator, Reentry Specialist, and a 2021 Leading with Conviction Fellow – JustLeadershipUSA. Christopher is currently affiliated with the Wisconsin Council on Mental Health – Criminal Justice Committee, Brown County Criminal Justice Coordinating Board, Brown County Alcohol & Drug Coalition for Change, Brown County Overdose Task Force, and the Brown County Mental Health Task Force.

Through training and speaking engagements, Christopher educates community members, law enforcement, political leaders, and other professionals about substance use disorder, mental health, reentry needs, and the realities of incarceration. He volunteers his time with the Green Bay Homeless Outreach Team (H.O.T.), Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus, and other civic organizations.

Christopher is a person in long-term recovery and is passionate about helping others on their recovery journey.
