Erin Rachwal

Erin Rachwal, LCSW, is a grieving mom who tragically lost her 19-year-old son, Logan, to a Fentanyl Poisoning on Valentine’s Day 2021. Married to her husband Rick for 25 years, she resides in Pewaukee, WI and has 1 son attending college in Phoenix, AZ. Erin is also an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in the state of Wisconsin. In her profession, she works with families, couples, individuals and young adults. This unique combination of being a therapist, yet had a struggling child who died from fentanyl creates a compelling story on the power of how one pill can kill and her message to others to never say “Not MY Child.”

Motivated by the lack of awareness of fentanyl and the stigma of
mental health and substance use disorders, Erin and her husband co-founded the Love, Logan Foundation in 2022. Erin has appeared on Fox National News  multiple times, has testified in a congressional hearing in Washington DC,  attended 2 DEA invitational summits and appeared LIVE with Anderson Cooper on CNN with her surviving son, Caden. In addition, she continues to spread awareness through speaking engagements, education, and billboards in Wisconsin and in other states including in Times Square New York City. Erin has combined her efforts with other Wisconsin grieving moms to advocate for Narcan on-site and to be accessible in public/private schools, and colleges/universities…they remain strong and relentless. Erin has had great success with the Wisconsin University System campus wide involvement. The prevention strategies of having Narcan boxes, visual awareness posters around campuses and education introduced into Freshman orientation are being noticed!

Erin combines her story, personal struggles, parenting challenges, grief journey and her professional experience to share a message of education and hope to make a lasting impression on her audience. The presentation and discussion provided by Erin as the representative of Love, Logan provides a powerful testimony on the importance of educating about fentanyl poisoning and a heartfelt motivation to turn our pain into healing and never give up hope.
